“Cause I’ve been drinking myself numb and you’ve been playing dumb. I’ve been bleeding all my pay-checks dry, getting high to pass the time…I’ve never felt more alone than being in a room full of everyone I’ve ever known. I thought that by now I would have grown. I thought I could manage on my own.”

This Melbourne-based Indie Pop-Punk band fronted by Brad Dixon has been slowly gaining more and more momentum since the release of their debut single 'New Years Eve' back in February this year. The lads have now followed this up with a clever marketing campaign via their Facebook page, doing a day-by-day countdown for their second single 'Numb'. The single also comes with a music video directed by the highly creative mind of Martin Wood. Musically, it’s a very tight slice of catchy indie pop-punk with emotional, anger-fuelled lyrics about dealing with the aftermath of a breakup and releasing toxic, pent-up feelings about your ex.

The music video comes across as “boys just being boys” as we see the band members roaming the inner-city streets of Melbourne. They’re having a typical night on the town with plenty of laughs, beers, smokes and hangs. This footage is cut between the band playing on a rooftop area. Whilst the storyline of the music video is very simple in subject matter, it’s still pleasing to see Martin Wood capturing the guys naturally rather than going down the scripted acting route. It adds a level of authenticity to it, that these boys are genuine and aren’t apologising for who they are. Keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming EP which is to be released in July.
