‘My mind entertains the different possibilities, if you are my conductor then I have no electricity’

Break Fate are back with their newest single ‘Black Out’ and it’s safe to say, they know what they are doing and they know how to do it well! The song begins with a nice reverb guitar strumming some chords and the vocals kick in with a almost fragile quality and the lyrics match. A second vocalist comes in to and the voices match perfectly. The vibe continues and again I’m connecting with the lyrics. We’ve all been there and we all know what it feels like to be there. Then bam the full band kicks in with a snap of the drums and my head is nodding a long. The vocalist steps it up a notch, singing with urgency and pain that lifts the very well written guitar parts and structure. the little breakdown in the middle over the palm muted guitar and the slipping in and out of falsetto of the vocals was a great touch. Then it’s full steam ahead and the ending of the track is filled with long notes, distorted guitars, steady drums and a nice little lead lick that all comes together with duel vocals that brought me back to early taking back Sunday and it fucking works!
