Breakthrough, We will be alright"

Up and rising Hardcore band Through it All have surprised the scene with their debut single ‘Break Through’, which completely deserves all of our immediate, undivided attention. This Sydney hardcore outfit perfectly executed the introduction that you need to get noticed: a killer track, a great look and some true passion behind their art. I’d be absolutely honoured to introduce Through It All with some honest and in-depth thoughts about their debut single.

Now, straight off the bat, Sydney hardcore rules. I promise I’m not being biased when I say this band really caught my attention and impressed me with 'Break Through'. Starting with the overall mixing and execution of the single – usually (and let’s be honest you’ve all noticed this with your favourite bands, I’m sure) a band's first singles aren’t as well-crafted as their much later ones that we’ve all grown to know and love. When it comes to 'Break Through', it sounds like Through it All know exactly what they're doing. This single has absolutely had tons of effort thrown into it and you can hear it in the mix, its really the product of a proud group of guys!

Music wise, the song is nothing short of an absolute ripper. Vocals performed by Sean Kerwin (who proudly formulated this band to be what we hear before us) are strong and show muscle, real macho tough guy stuff – but that’s what hardcore needs! Guitars are performed by both Josh Crawford and Par Cornwell. The song features some catchy riffs throughout that I want to highlight. What I thought was completely clever is they really took hardcore elements and added some metalcore roots – its heavy and chuggy (everything we want and need, duh) but still has that beautiful melodic flavour that were all massive suckers for here at BTS (I fell for it).

Would I want to see this band release more? Absolutely! Do I feel like they have a long way to come? Hey, the brain never stops learning... This band is definitely destined for greatness and I’m so excited to see where they take off next. I’m no professional band coach, but they possess all the natural qualities to make a mark; pride, talent and ambition. Being already featured on Triple J Unearthed and spun on The Faction numerous times, with their Spotify hits already being in the thousands – I back this band and give them my stamp of approval, go spin it now (the old you would have done it).
