“Bad Me” is the debut single from this Melbourne-based Alternative Rock/Post-Hardcore band from the forthcoming EP Chronoscale. The music video presents the band members in two different states: positive/negative, sober/drunk, elegant/ragged. The living room space in which they’re playing in is mostly furnished in shades of stark black and white with a hint of pale blue and warm tones in the timbers. The last section of the music video shows the band members destroying things like a flat screen TV, empty wine bottles and a glass coffee table.

This imagery fits in really well with the lyrical content which talks about the inner conflict of wanting to overcome mental illness and negative emotions such as anger, fear, frustration, self-doubt and hate. Vocalist Nico Bradley refers to this as the “Destroyer”, asking it “How far will you go?”. His vocal delivery is absolutely compelling with soaring highs and softly cooed wails throughout the track. Musically, the verses are very delicate and stripped back with brief melodic riffs but eventually ramps up in intensity with chugging guitar riffs and a lovely melodic backdrop.
