Below Oceans brand new single, ‘Neurosis’, is a a big step for this bands sound. Following their last Track ‘Losing Sight’, What these boys are up to now is next level. The use of soft ambient sounds and the now lower tuned guitars straight away gives vibes of bands like Northlane, Architects, etc. Guitarist/Singer Dylan Farrell shows a ton of improvement, both with the singing and these technical riffs.

With this new sound does come with more technical parts and sections, but they’re hitting the nail on the head. I dug the chorus heaps, it was well led in, it felt really thought over all instruments. On top of that they have put a lot of feel in this song, whether it be note choice of the singing or the riffs themselves. The outro, featuring what sounds like a clogged garbage disposal exiting a mouth, is hectic. So heavy and such a good way to send off the song on a high. I’m very interested to see if this is the “new sound” of the band.
As a whole the track is super tight, these boys have clearly put a lot of work and effort into it. Every part was well written, the flow was spot on and I really enjoyed it.
