“Can you help me back together, because you pulled me apart”
If Korn and Alpha Wolf’s songs had a lovechild, I can imagine that this track would be the offspring. With a variety of eerie sounds opening up this track before a punchy drumbeat enters, the listener is already experiencing a sense of anticipation as to what this song will have in store for them. The song begins to build immensely as soon as the vocals and the guitar enter the scene. The music provides a much heavier sound in comparison to the vocals which have quite an eerie feel which is why I believe that the vocals are somewhat similar to that of Jonathan Davis of Korn. The eeriness is briefly replaced with an explosion of powerful screams which solidifies the intensity of the songs message, adding more layers to an already diverse track. The song varies in intensity throughout its duration providing changes in pace which ensures that the song is ever-changing, keeping things interesting.
When listening to this track I can hear combinations of various vocalists when it comes to the singer. I believe he incorporates the eerie and individual style of Jonathan Davis Korn but also incorporates the intense screaming style of Lochie Keogh of Alpha Wolf in order to maximise his voices potential and power. Unfortunately I also believe that the use of instruments is very underwhelming to listeners. The music itself is a very basic, chuggy riff with no real variation throughout the song. It does its job for the song but I believe that adding some changes to tempo, dynamics and structure could greatly increase the songs impact and feel for the listeners.
