"I thought you could save me, all you did was taint my soul"
The first time I listened to this song, I was relatively impressed. Now, after listening to it many more times, I am even more impressed! After the successful release of their first EP "Death", I was keen to see what else these Canberra heavy-hitters could bring to the table. And I must say, I was not disappointed and they exceeded my expectations.
This song hits VERY HARD from the start. Punching you in the face with a combination of aggressive vocals and guitar. The pacing of the 'Biggest Sin Of All' is excellent, throwing you into a mosh-starter right from the start before settling you down with some atmospheric clean vocals from keyboardist Kit, who I might say, has HUGELY improved her vocals compared to their last EP! After this you are thrown back into the musical mosh with more heavy riffs and angry drumming. This is the kind of song that people break shit to, and I love it. I almost put my head through my wall because the energy from the band seemed to transfer into my very soul. This is a sign of good composition.
Another thing to note is the sheer atmosphere of the song itself, it sets a dark yet angry mood which while is typical in heavier music, is rarely done in a way that makes the song shine without being a boring fest of repetitive riffs and generic vocals. That is not the case for 'Biggest Sin Of All'.
This is exactly what I wanted from Deathbeds and they have delivered everything I wanted and more. If this an accurate representation of their upcoming concept album "SINNER", then I am very, VERY excited for this!
Would You Go And See Them (WYGAST) 5/5
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10
